Not urgently, but it’s worth doing before the damage spreads. A crack in the glass leaves the LCD underneath exposed to pressure, dust, and moisture. Small cracks can creep and eventually reach the digitiser layer, at which point the repair becomes more expensive. If the touch is still fully responsive, you’re probably looking at a glass-only repair for now — cheaper and quicker than a full screen replacement.
Turn it off immediately if it’s still on, and don’t try to charge it. Resist the urge to put it in rice — that’s not particularly effective and wastes time. Bring it in as soon as you can. The sooner we can assess liquid damage, the better the chances of preventing corrosion from spreading to the logic board. Even if it seems to be working after getting wet, it’s worth getting checked — moisture damage can show up days later.
Depends on the model and the repair. For something like a battery replacement on a 4th or 5th gen iPad that’s otherwise working well, it usually makes sense. For a cracked screen on an older model where parts are getting scarce, the cost can start to approach what a second-hand replacement would cost.
